Giclée explained, Your Image, Scanning & other info
OK so what exactly is a Giclée print and why is it the bees knees in the art world?
Giclée (pronounced 'gee-clay' ) is from a French word meaning 'little squirt' and refers to spraying fine drops of ink or dye onto paper or canvas. Giclée is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve a Giclée print of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability. Used by galleries and museums worldwide and recognised as a fine art print.
